(More customer reviews)I normally keep this thin winter liner in my hard hat all year round. I just fold it up around the suspension and push it up inside the hard hat during the summer. It seems to help keep my head cooler during the warm weather and also absorb sweat from my now balding head. It has a sewn on Velcro chinstrap and is long enough in the back to help keep the wind from blowing up your neck during cold weather, but it is not really waterproof unless you treat it with silicone or something similar yourself.
The only problem I have with this and what seems like all other hard hat liners I've tried, is that the manufacturers don't take into account for the knob being in the middle of the rear of hats with ratcheting suspensions. This is right where they put the Velcro strap to secure it to the suspension, so you either have to install the strap to one side or the other, which throws off the alignment of the liner and makes it slightly less comfortable, or not use the rear strap at all, which makes for a comfortable fit, but allows the liner pull out of the back every time you take your hard hat off.
A simple solution that would probably cost them all of 10-cents would be to use two Velcro straps at the rear of the liner, one slightly off center on each side, instead of just the one at dead center.
Overall though, I think it's a decent enough liner, considering the price.
