(More customer reviews)Adequate, but the Large size doesn't really fit my Honda Fit Sport. I have had it one day so I can only review the size and fit. It is very lightweight, but that's what I wanted. I have one of the expensive, 5-layer kind and it's so heavy that I can't put it on the car without a step ladder (I'm short). This was much easier to throw over the top of the car.
I'm in San Jose, CA and am only concerned with bird droppings and dust so this will work for me. I can't say how much protection this will be in other weather conditions.
But it is not made for a mini hatchback-style vehicle. It is much too long at the ends, but doesn't cover the car on the sides. It stops about 6-8 inches short on each side (even with the mirrors folded in). The Fit Sport is considered a mini car, but is too tall for this cover. If you want full coverage you will have to look for some kind of SUV/minivan style.
They included a piece of lightweight rope to put through the side grommets, but the rope would rub against the sides of the car so I doubt that will be helpful to me. It has elastic, but only on the ends, and a very long loop of fabric at the back end to stuff in the trunk. This isn't helpful on my style of hatchback. I am wrapping it around the license plate holder and hopefully this will help somewhat to keep it in place in the wind. I will need to cut a hole for the roof top antenna and that should also stabilize it somewhat.
I'm keeping it because it is inexpensive, lightweight enough for me, and adequate for dust and bird droppings (and I hate doing returns). There must be better covers for this style of car, but probably higher in price.

(More customer reviews)Contrary to popular belief, this "snowmobile" version of the G4 is NOT the same as the motorcycle version with a corded mic. According to Cardo tech support, the snow version actually runs different software, and is not compatible with upgrades for the motorcycle version!
I am finding this out the hard way, as Cardo released a 3.0 upgrade for G4 back in March '11 that adds new features and bug fixes, but I'm sitting here mid-July still not able to apply that upgrade to my snowmobile set.

Peltor 97069 President Hearing Protector Review

(More customer reviews)I was in the market for hearing protection because I work in manufacturing. At times, I spend many hours at a saw or in a Dust-room with a grinder and two blower-driven dust collectors. Ear-Protection is a necessity so I went shopping for a personal set. I narrowed my Amazon search to the President and the H10. I couldn't decide from the comments and pics/info so I bought both.
First of all, both Peltor-brand muffs are assembled by Aearo Company in Indianapolis. The President/H7F has a 26db NRR while the H10A is rated 30db (though Amazon lists 29db). On paper, this is supposedly a big difference. I have compared both under the same conditions and decided the President cuts more noise. I also like that the President is collapsible which keeps the inner cups clean and dust-free on breaks. This may not matter if you were using these exclusively for the firing range. Considering comfort, the H10A clasps tighter on my Eustachian tubes but you get used to that nagging with any muff. ohhh. With the President, I have experienced all-day comfort (worn multiple times non-stop through an 8-hr shift) including use with mp3player ear buds.
In conclusion, The President wins for quality and utility. If you're looking to save a few bucks, I guess go for the H10 (I use my pair exclusively at home when Gramps is cranking the TV). But I have used both, and my opinion is for the pricier, lower db rated President because it simply cuts more noise at work. This was unexpected and could be due to how the President fits my head better. I don't know about all that, I just know what I hear.

Auto Ventshade 94242 Window Ventvisor for Toyota 4Runner - 4 Piece Review

(More customer reviews)I've installed Ventshades in 5 prior vehicles, so I know how it's done. It didn't take long to see that the rear window ventshades were about an inch too long and the wrong shape (curve of the window). The front ventshades would have fit fine if not for an unnecessary curve in the bit that goes between the felt and the window (when rolled up). Even if I had shoved it in there, rolling up my window would have broken the ventshade.
The bottom line is either their mold is way off, or the windows changed from 2010 to 2011 and Ventshade didn't bother to check. I had this same issue with a new 2001 truck where they just assumed that the 2000 ventshade would fit. A year later they finally fixed the issue and released a 2001+ version.
Rated a 3 because while I like ventshades in general, this doesn't work as advertised.

When I first got my bike, I went throught two other types of frame proctective tapes, both of which wore through or started peeling off after a couple of rides. I've had this tape on for 6 or 7 months now, and it's holding up beautifully! I highly recommmend this product!
