(More customer reviews)Adequate, but the Large size doesn't really fit my Honda Fit Sport. I have had it one day so I can only review the size and fit. It is very lightweight, but that's what I wanted. I have one of the expensive, 5-layer kind and it's so heavy that I can't put it on the car without a step ladder (I'm short). This was much easier to throw over the top of the car.
I'm in San Jose, CA and am only concerned with bird droppings and dust so this will work for me. I can't say how much protection this will be in other weather conditions.
But it is not made for a mini hatchback-style vehicle. It is much too long at the ends, but doesn't cover the car on the sides. It stops about 6-8 inches short on each side (even with the mirrors folded in). The Fit Sport is considered a mini car, but is too tall for this cover. If you want full coverage you will have to look for some kind of SUV/minivan style.
They included a piece of lightweight rope to put through the side grommets, but the rope would rub against the sides of the car so I doubt that will be helpful to me. It has elastic, but only on the ends, and a very long loop of fabric at the back end to stuff in the trunk. This isn't helpful on my style of hatchback. I am wrapping it around the license plate holder and hopefully this will help somewhat to keep it in place in the wind. I will need to cut a hole for the roof top antenna and that should also stabilize it somewhat.
I'm keeping it because it is inexpensive, lightweight enough for me, and adequate for dust and bird droppings (and I hate doing returns). There must be better covers for this style of car, but probably higher in price.
